Boat rental with license in Empuriabrava
Do you hold a boating license (ICC, PER equivalent, coastal or higher)? Our fleet of around twenty licensed boats (5 to 14 meters) is ready for you to explore the Costa Brava from Empuriabrava. We offer modern boats and RIBs from Lomac, Salpa, Invictus and Sea Ray, with capacity for up to 12 people -- perfect for groups, families or celebrations at sea. From Empuriabrava, you are ideally positioned to reach the main hotspots of the Costa Brava: Cap de Creus in 30 - 45 minutes, Cala Montjoi and Cala Jóncols for snorkeling, Cadaqués in about 1 hour, or the Medes Islands in 1h30 for diving and protected marine areas. Weekly rentals are available with overnight mooring. On request, we can also deliver the boat directly to Empuriabrava. No license but want a larger boat? Boat rental without license in Empuriabrava
No license? No problem. Spanish law allows you to rent boats up to 6 meters and 15 HP without a license, within a 2-nautical-mile coastal zone. Our license-free fleet includes BWA Four Four (4m, 5 people, from Euro65), Silver 495 (5m, 6 people, from Euro85), V480 (4.85m, 6 people, from Euro100) and V495 (4.90m, 5 people, from Euro110). These boats are easy to handle, stable and fully equipped for a safe and enjoyable day. With a license-free boat, you can explore the entire bay of Roses, anchor in hidden coves, reach La Rubina, Santa Margarita or La Almadrava, or simply enjoy a relaxed day onboard. For longer routes such as Cap de Creus, Cadaqués or the Medes Islands, we recommend a licensed boat or skipper service.

Do I need a licence to rent a boat in Empuriabrava? • Not always. We offer easy-to-drive no-licence boats.
Can I enter the canals of Empuriabrava? • No-licence boats are not allowed to access the Empuriabrava canals. • Licensed boats are allowed, but prior notice to Aventura Náutica is required to coordinate access with the Empuriabrava harbour authority.
How far can I sail? • Without licence: up to 2 nautical miles from Roses port, including Punta Falconera. • With licence: much wider sailing area, reaching most of Cap de Creus depending on rental duration.
What is included in the boat rental? • Boat, insurance, safety equipment, briefing and assistance.
Can I bring children on board? • Yes, it is a family-friendly activity under adult supervision.
Can I bring pets on board? • Yes, pets are allowed on board.
Is it necessary to book in advance? • Yes, especially during high season on the Costa Brava.
